    Q: New Customer Referral Voucher
HOW DO I REFER A NEW CUSTOMER AND CLAIM THE REWARD VOUCHER?

A: Send a friend to Sensory Perfection and you will receive a £10 voucher to use on your next order! All you need to do is ask your friend to add your name to the text box then add this item to their shopping cart when they place their order. Or ask them to leave a note in the message box, saying you referred them, if this is easier. I will email you a voucher to the value of £10 when your friend has placed their first order of £50 or more (excluding VAT and shipping).
You must be an existing customer to refer your friends, and must not live at the same address or use the same paypal address or credit card.

    Q: Delivery (Courier)
WHERE IS MY ORDER? IT WAS SENT BY COURIER...

A: My courier (Interlink/DPD) will normally deliver by 3pm Monday to Friday to all UK mainland destinations, and by 4pm to Scotland. The transit time to European destinations by courier is 2-5 working days, depending on location.
UK customers will also receive a confirmation email from Interlink advising that the goods are in transit. Please click on the tracking link in your dispatch email to follow your shipment. You will find details of your nearest Interlink depot in the top right hand corner of the page if required (Depot Finder).
If you miss your delivery due to some unforeseen crisis, please contact Interlink immediately to arrange re-delivery or collection. If your order is returned to me as a result of non-delivery (i.e. no-one available to sign for it, no re-delivery booked, or not collected from depot) then I will have to invoice you for the cost of the collection from your local depot, delivery back to me, and re-delivery back to you (£25.00 + VAT). Please also note that Interlink will not redeliver to an address which is different to the original booking.

    Q: VAT / Sales Tax
WHAT IS VAT AND DO I HAVE TO PAY IT?

A: VAT (Value Added Tax) is payable by all UK and EU customers. It will be charged on your order and will be added to your purchase total at the rate of 20% on checkout. If you are VAT-registered and exempt from UK VAT (if you live in an EU country and have a VAT number for your business), please enter your VAT number in the message box on checkout, make payment as normal, and I will send you a revised invoice to exclude the VAT and a partial refund if you have made payment by PayPal. By clicking the submit button you will be confirming that the VAT Number entered is valid for your company. Please note: Delivery address must be the same as your VAT-registered address.
International and European non-EU customers are exempt from paying VAT, so the VAT portion of your order will be refunded when your order is processed.

Q: Shelf Life of Fragrance Oils
HOW LONG CAN I KEEP FRAGRANCE OILS?

A: Fragrance oils generally have a shelf life of 2 years from date of manufacture, which means they can be stored and used for 12-18 months from date of purchase without any degeneration of scent or performance. Some fragrance oils may last longer than 2 years if stored correctly (in a cool dark place away from direct heat and light, well sealed and in original containers) while others may slowly lose their scent or the scent may alter slightly. It is very unusual for a fragrance oil to go "off" and for the scent to change dramatically; it is more of a gradual deterioration and loss of strength - as with all forms of aging!...

    Q: Fragrance Oil Safety
HOW DO I USE FRAGRANCE OILS SAFELY?

A: The fragrance oils I supply are premium quality, uncut and of optimum strength. They are not suitable for use on the skin unless diluted. Fragrance oils should be stored in a cool dark place and away from heat sources. Please keep out of reach of children and animals and use fragrance oils in a well-ventilated area. Use gloves if your skin is sensitive. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling fragrance oils, and if you spill or splash any onto your skin you should rinse immediately with water. You should also seek medical advice immediately if you splash any oils into your eyes (rinse for at least 15 minutes) or if swallowed. Fragrance oils are chemicals and should always be handled with caution and care. Further safety information can be found in the MSDS sheets in the MSDS category.

    Q: Using Fragrance Oils
WHAT CAN I MAKE USING FRAGRANCE OILS?

A: The fragrance oils which I supply are suitable for use in candles, oil burners, lamp rings, incense, aroma beads, simmering granules, reed diffusers, room and linen sprays, pot pourri, air fresheners, soap and bath and body products (please see Product Information category for more details on the use of US fragrance oils in UK/EU products).
    «Previous Top  Next»

    Q: MSDS
    WHAT IS MSDS?

A: The MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) is a standard list of ingredients and safety guidelines for any product containing chemicals which we are required by law to provide or make available when the product is purchased. This is in compliance with the terms of current Chemicals (Hazard, Information and Packaging) Regulations. This data also includes a list of the 26 declarable allergens (if present) as required by EU Legislation. MSDS sheets are available for all of the UK fragrance oils, and you can download them directly from the MSDS category.

    Q: Animal Testing
ARE ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS OR INGREDIENTS TESTED ON ANIMALS?

A: No! You will find our Animal Testing Declaration (with full details) in the Product Information category.

    Q: IFRA Statement
WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR IFRA STATEMENT?

A: You will find this in the Product Information category.

Q: Usage Levels of Fragrance Oil in Candles
HOW MUCH FRAGRANCE OIL CAN I ADD TO MY CANDLES?

A: Fragrance oil is added to candle wax by weight; this is approx 6% for paraffin wax (6g fragrance oil to 100g wax), and 6-10% for soy wax.
    «Previous Top  Next»

Q: Usage Levels of Fragrance Oil in Cosmetics
HOW MUCH FRAGRANCE OIL CAN I ADD TO MY COSMETIC PRODUCTS?

A: Please refer to the MSDS category for the individual recommended maximum safe inclusion levels of these fragrance oils in your leave-on and rinse-off products. Although our suppliers have advised they are safe for chemical tolerance at up to 5% for some fragrance oils, we do recommend that it should not be necessary to exceed 1% for leave-on applications and 3% for rinse-off applications.
Please also read "What is MSDS?" in the MSDS category for further instructions.

    Q: US Oils in Cosmetics
CAN I USE US FRAGRANCE OILS IN COSMETIC PRODUCTS WHICH I AM SELLING?

A: No. We do not sell imported fragrance oils (from any country) as being suitable for use in cosmetic products for retail purposes. This is not because they are legally prohibited for use but because countries outside of the EU do not have the identification of the 26 declarable allergens built into their manufacturing process. The MSDS might be completely valid for that country and still not have complete data as required by the Cosmetic Regulations as applicable within the UK and EU. Absence of a declaration of these allergens on the MSDS is NOT a guarantee that they are in fact absent from the oil. A duty of care will ALWAYS fall on you as the cosmetic manufacturer to ensure that the oils you use to fragrance your product are legally compliant and that the original manufacturing process involved in producing any of your ingredients ensures the final MSDS is accurate and includes all information which is required under these regulations. We only extend our certification of compliant manufacturing practice to those oils which we can verify have been created to the regulations applicable to this country and the rest of the EU. As the oils manufactured in other countries will not have been created to those regulations (irrespective of their quality or intended use overseas) we are not legally allowed to certify these oils as being suitable for use in your products for retail purposes. MSDS is not required for candle making so MSDS for these products will not be supplied. MSDS will always be available for our UK Cosmetic Grade fragrance oils to ensure your product labels are accurate - please see MSDS category for downloadable links.

A: You will find a Search box in the bottom right hand corner of my Home Page. Just type the name of the fragrance you need and click Search. Q: Alternate Delivery Address
CAN I ASK FOR MY ORDER TO BE DELIVERED TO SOMEONE ELSE OR LEFT WITH A NEIGHBOUR?

A: If you would like your order delivered to an alternate address, or sent as a gift, please complete the Alternate Delivery Address section when you place your order. If you would like a message included with your order, if you are sending it as a gift, please leave a note in the message box on your order form.
If you would like your order left with a neighbour, please leave a note in the message box on your order form, and state their house number and a contact number if possible. It may not be possible for your order to be delivered (or to submit a claim for loss) if you have asked for your parcel to be left in a "safe place" or on your doorstep, for obvious reasons.
Please do not leave a message on your PayPal payment as I do not always see these; your request must be made on your order form - thank you.

    Q: Refunds and Replacements
HOW DO I RETURN MY PURCHASE FOR A REFUND/REPLACEMENT?

A: I do not accept returns of fragrance oils, flavour oils or soap dyes due to the nature of these products and the fact that they can be tampered with. Please try the sample sizes of fragrance oils first so you can test them and make sure you are happy with the fragrance and performance before buying the larger sizes. I will refund or replace unused undamaged moulds and other supplies if for any reason you are not entirely happy with them. These must be posted back to me at your own expense.

If your item has not arrived within the estimated time, and you have postal insurance, please contact me after 15 working days (UK) or 30 working days (Europe/Worldwide) so that I can attempt to track it for you. Q: Turnaround Time
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

A: My dispatch time is normally 3 working days, but may be longer during busier times. Please allow up to 5 working days for dispatch if you order on sale days or over busy holiday periods. I offer a Priority Dispatch service (available in the Shipping Extras category) if you require next-day dispatch, although this will not be available when it is extremely busy (see Priority Dispatch listing in the Shipping Extras category for details). Special Delivery is also available, and early-morning and Saturday courier options (all listed in the Shipping Extras category).
You will receive a dispatch email when your order has been sent, and you will find the estimated turnaround time at the top of your invoice, and updates are on my Blog page. Please do not email me regarding dispatch of your order as it is much quicker to just check your confirmation email or my Blog page (or wait for your dispatch email). Many thanks.

    Q: Delivery (Europe/Worldwide Airmail)
WHERE IS MY ORDER? IT WAS SENT BY AIRMAIL...

A: Please allow 7-10 days for international delivery, depending on location, and allowing for delays caused by postal strikes and busy holiday times.
If your item has not arrived within the estimated time, please contact your local post office, as they may have attempted to deliver when you were out and your parcel may have been too big to fit through your letterbox. They should leave a card with details of your missed delivery and contact details for re-delivery or collection, but in many cases they do not.
If your order has not arrived after 5 working days, you are welcome to contact me for the tracking number if you would like to track your parcel. You will find the Royal Mail tracking page by clicking on the link in your dispatch email.
If your item has not arrived after 30 working days from date of dispatch, I will submit a claim to Royal Mail on your behalf and I will submit all necessary paperwork to aid in the processing of your claim. You will be contacted as well to confirm that your order is indeed missing, and you will need to respond immediately to prevent any delay to the processing of your claim. If Royal Mail agrees to pay compensation to me, I will then pass this payment on to you, either in the form of a credit voucher or refund, at my own discretion.
If your order is returned to me as a result of non-delivery (if you missed the delivery and did not book re-delivery, or if it was not collected from your local post office or sorting office or depot) then I will need to invoice you for the postage cost to send it to you again.

    Q: Delivery (UK Royal Mail)
WHERE IS MY ORDER? IT WAS SENT WITH ROYAL MAIL...

A: Please allow 5 working days for delivery, allowing for delays caused by postal strikes and busy holiday times. This is an estimate and delivery may take longer; please read your Dispatch email for any information you may need.
If your item has not arrived within the estimated time, please contact your local post office, as they may have attempted to deliver when you were out and your parcel may have been too big to fit through your letterbox. They should leave a card with details of your missed delivery and contact details for re-delivery or collection, but in many cases they do not.
If you have postal insurance (Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery), please contact me for the tracking number if you would like to track your parcel, if it has not arrived within the estimated time. You will find the Royal Mail tracking page by clicking on the link in your dispatch email.
If your item has not arrived after 16 working days from date of dispatch, and you have Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery, I will submit a claim to Royal Mail on your behalf and I will submit all necessary paperwork to aid in the processing of your claim.
Please email me to tell me if you are submitting a claim, as I will need to prepare the paperwork that will be needed to process your claim, as Royal Mail will contact me regarding this. If your order does arrive after you have submitted the claim, you will need to contact me and also Royal Mail to cancel your claim immediately.
If your order is returned to me as a result of non-delivery (if you missed the delivery and did not book re-delivery, or if it was not collected from your local post office or sorting office or depot) then I will need to invoice you for the postage cost to send it to you again.

    Q: Special Offers
WHY ARE THESE OILS DISCONTINUED OR LIMITED STOCK?

A: These oils have been discontinued either because they are slow sellers, or they have been discontinued by one of my suppliers. If you see an old favourite appear in this section, don`t panic - just email me if you want it kept in stock and I'll do my best to keep it if I can, otherwise they may still be available to pre-order in the 500ml size. Limited Stock items are either my own blends or limited editions from my suppliers, and are marked down as well to help you save those pennies! Grab them while you can, they are all at below-cost prices and an excellent bargain!

    Q: Urgent Dispatch
I NEED MY ORDER URGENTLY, CAN YOU POST TOMORROW?

A: Yes, I can dispatch next-day if you select the Priority Dispatch service in the Shipping Extras category. This service will guarantee fast dispatch but will not guarantee fast delivery (unless your order is heavy enough for the courier service which is a guaranteed delivery on the following day to the UK mainland, or 2-5 days to Europe). Special Delivery (UK only) will also serve the same function, with guaranteed delivery by Royal Mail by 1pm the following day. Please note: Orders must be received (and paid for) by 5pm to qualify for next-day dispatch; if orders are received after 5pm they will be dispatched the day after (i.e. book on Monday before 5pm for dispatch on Tuesday and delivery on Wednesday). I now also have a delivery option for courier deliveries on Saturdays, and on weekdays by 9.30am - these are available in the Shipping Extras category.

Q: Buying larger sizes of fragrance oil
Do you supply 500ml and litre sizes?

A: Yes, I can supply any quantity you need. The most popular sizes are the 50ml and 200ml sizes, so these are the sizes I keep in stock as standard. If you would like to order 500mls, just buy 2 x 200mls, and I'll send you a 500ml bottle (400mls with 100mls free!). If you would like a litre (1,000mls), just order 4 x 200mls and I'll send you a litre bottle (800mls with 200mls free!). I don't stock large quantities of the US oils or those which are not overly popular so please email me if you don't find enough in stock or if you would like me to pre-order these for you. Thank you.

    Q: Gel Candles
Do you supply fragrance oils for use in gel candles?

A: All of my fragrance oils are suitable for use in paraffin, vegetable and soy wax, and there are a few which are suitable for gel candles. Gel candle fragrances are tested for polarity; this means they must be completely oil-soluble, otherwise they can break down the gel or form pockets which may be flammable. The flashpoint of a flammable substance is the point at which it can ignite. Gel-safe oils have a flashpoint of around 200 degrees F; and you will find these by typing GEL SAFE or FLASHPOINT in the search box (bottom right hand corner of my home page).

    Q: Crystallisation
WHY DO SOME FRAGRANCE OILS CONTAIN CRYSTALS?

A: Some fragrance oils will naturally crystallise; certain ingredients like vanillin or maltol may seperate and create crystals in this way. This crystallization has no adverse effect on the fragrance oil and will not affect the scent or performance. You can "melt" the crystals if you feel you need to, by immersing the bottle in a bowl of warm water and shaking the bottle every 10 minutes or so; you may need to repeat the process a few times.

    Q: Out-of-Bottle Scent
WHY DOES MY FRAGRANCE OIL SMELL DIFFERENT IN THE BOTTLE TO THE SCENT OF MY FINISHED PRODUCT?

A: Fragrance oils will generally smell quite different in the bottle and in your finished product, so please test first before deciding on the fragrance. Sample sizes are available in the Samples category so you can test the fragrances for performance, aroma and scent throw.

    Q: Cyclopentasiloxane / Cyclomethicone
HOW DO I MAKE ROOM/LINEN/BODY SPRAYS?

A: Cyclopentasiloxane is a colorless, odourless, transparent, non-greasy silicone fluid, commonly used in cosmetics products as a spreading or wetting agent which provides a light lubrication to hair and skin.
It is suitable for use as a base fluid in room sprays, linen sprays, body sprays and creams, hair sprays, deodorants, cleansing creams, bath oils, sunblocks, shaving cream and makeup.
Fragrance oil can be added at up to 15% for room sprays, and up to 5% for body sprays, depending on MSDS for fragrance oils (please check).
You will find spray bottles in the Packaging category if required.
    «Previous Top  Next»

    Q: Reed Diffusers
HOW DO I MAKE REED DIFFUSERS?

A: Fragrance oil should be added to reed diffuser base at a ratio of 40-60% fragrance to base - the base is light and will draw the fragrance easily into the reeds, which will fragrance your home beautifully. Reed diffuser base is an alcohol solution which helps the fragrance oil to travel up the reeds and evaporate/diffuse into the air. DPG should not be used in reed diffusers as it doesn't work in this way, it will only clog your reeds and dilute your fragrance oil.
Please remember reeds should not be turned in your diffuser as fragrance oils and base may drip onto your surfaces and may damage them!

    Q: Aroma Beads
HOW DO I USE AROMA BEADS?

A: These scent-absorbing beads will hold up to 30% fragrance oil, they are easy to make and the fragrance lasts for ages! Add fragrance oils or essential oils at a ratio of 30g fragrance to 100g aroma beads. Useful ideas include room freshener sachets, car freshners, stuffed animals, vacuum cleaner bags, silk flowers, or simply displayed in little bowls. It can take up to 24 hours for the fragrance to be absorbed completely. If there is any excess oil remaining, just add a few more aroma beads to soak it up.

A: You are welcome to email me with your requests or questions if you can't find the answers on my FAQ page; please see the Contact Me category where you will find the email form. I will always reply within 24 hours (except over weekends and holiday times). If you do not receive a reply within 24 hours, please re-send your email as I may not have received it (I always reply to every email). Please read my FAQ page before sending your email as you will probably find your answers there. My telephone number is listed on my website simply because it is a legal requirement to do so. I prefer contact by email because it provides a proper record of your requirements and is much faster - which allows me to dispatch orders more quickly without having to stop and talk. My turnaround time is updated regularly on my Blog page. Thank you!

    Q: Gift Vouchers
    HOW DO GIFT VOUCHERS WORK?

A: Select the amount you would like to spend on your friend, and add their details in the text box provided:
    1. Name.
    2. Email address.
    3. Date you would like your voucher to be sent.
    4. Personal message if required.
I will send an email to your chosen friend on the date specified, with your message, and a voucher code which they can use to redeem their gift voucher.
If you would like to send gift vouchers to more than one friend, just select the cash amounts seperately and enter each set of details each time.

    Q: Privacy Policy
HOW SECURE IS MY PAYMENT AND HOW PRIVATE IS MY INFORMATION?

A: Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. Payment is entirely secure, via a secure server, and your details will never be disclosed to any third party unless (in the unlikely event) it is required by UK law - and you will be notified of this. Credit card details are deleted immediately after processing.

    Q: Fragrance Oil Performance
CAN YOU TELL ME HOW YOUR FRAGRANCE OILS PERFORM IN SOAP?

A: Yes, you will find performance results in each product listing (UK oils only); just click on the item to view the description and comments. This list is an ongoing project and I rely on the contributions of my customers for results, so if there is no information on a particular fragrance, this means it has not been tested and reported on yet. Even if a fragrance has been tested, it may still behave differently in your own particular soap base, so I always recommend trying a sample size first and testing it yourself. I am always very grateful for any feedback and results, so please email me if you would like to share your findings with us - thank you!

    Q: Flavour Oils
WHAT ARE FLAVOUR OILS USED FOR AND DO YOU HAVE ANY NATURAL TYPES?

A: Flavour Oils can be used in lip balms and glosses, food products and edible body butters. They should be added at 1-3% depending on your taste requirements - add one drop at a time and test as too much flavour will result in a bitter taste.
The following flavour oils are all natural (plant derived): Lemon, Orange, Tangerine, Lime, Peppermint, Spearmint, Vanilla.
These natural flavours are totally oil-soluble and will blend best in all oil bases; the other flavours may sometimes not always mix as well as they are glycol-based.
Some of our flavour oils are allergen-free; you'll find these by checking the MSDS category.
Flavour oils should not be used in candles or bath/body products (unless the base is edible!), fragrance oils should be used instead.

    Q: Reserved Items
HOW CAN I RESERVE AN ITEM?

A: The Reserved section is for items which are either out of stock and have been requested, and also for fragrances which I don't normally keep in stock but have been requested by customers. If you would like me to pre-order any items for you, please email me with your requests. Please note: I will reserve items for 7 days only; if they are not purchased within this time, they will be released back into stock.

    Q: Wish List
HOW DO I USE MY WISH LIST?

A: Your Wish List is for your own personal use, and can be used to add items which you are saving for or expect to need at some stage, to save you having to search for them. You cannot save out-of-stock items to your Wish List, but you can type them in the text box and email it to yourself by clicking on the Send button.
Important: Save the 50ml size if you would like to see when an item is back in stock. The 200ml sizes will not be updated, so they will always show as out of stock, even when stock is available.

    Q: Adding To Your Order
CAN I ADD ANOTHER ORDER TO MY EXISTING ORDER?

A: Yes, but this will delay the dispatch of your first order, as the dispatch time will be based on the purchase/payment date of your second order. There is generally no need to do this as UK postage is free on orders over £50 and Europe/Worldwide shipping costs are fixed on a percentage on orders over £20, so your shipping costs will not normally be affected by combining orders.

    Q: Save Cart Function
HOW DO I SAVE MY SHOPPING CART IF I WANT TO COME BACK LATER?

A: *** THIS OPTION HAS BEEN REMOVED AS IT HAS CAUSED TOO MANY ERRORS WITH SHOPPING CARTS SAVED FOR TOO LONG AND ITEMS SELLING OUT ***
You will find the Save Cart link at the top left of your shopping cart. Please remember you can only save your cart for a short while, as the inventory will change as other customers buy the items (you are not reserving them by adding them to your cart so they are not yours until you check out). If you are unable to check out via your saved cart, this means one of your items has been bought by someone else, so you will need to empty your cart and start a new one.

A: No, either click on the Forgotten Password link which will email you your password, or email me to check your username and/or password.

    Q: Your Account
HOW DO I USE THIS FEATURE?

    Q: Credit Card Payment Problems
I HAVEN'T ENTERED MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS; HOW DO I PAY NOW?

A: If your credit card details have not been entered at checkout, or have been incorrectly entered, your order will be automatically reversed and you will need to start again. I will email you to let you know if this happens.

    Q: PayPal Payment Problems
MY PAYPAL LINK WAS DISCONNECTED; HOW DO I PAY NOW?

A: If you have received a confirmation email with an order number, this means your order has been received. Please log in to PayPal and send your payment to sensoryperfection@googlemail.com with the Order number as your reference.
If you have not received a confirmation email with an order number, this means your order has not been confirmed and completed, and you need to either continue with your order (if you have saved it) or start a new order.

    Q: First Time Shopping
HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

A: Click on the item that you would like to buy to read further information on that product if required. Next, click on Add to Cart. You can then either select Continue Shopping if you would like to order more items, otherwise select Proceed to Checkout. You will then be asked to select the correct shipping method, and your choice of payment method. You then need to Confirm your order, and you will be directed to the secure server to make your payment. You will receive a confirmation email that your order has been received and will be processed shortly.

    Q: Cancellations
    CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

A: Yes, as per the Distance Selling Regulations, you have a "cooling off" period of 7 working days in which to cancel your order if you suddenly decide you no longer want it. You will need to email me to let me know (either via your order confirmation email or via my contact page). Please bear in mind that if your order has already been processed and dispatched you will need to post this order back to me (unopened and unsealed) at your own expense, and with proof of postage, before I can refund your payment (less original postage which I will have already paid). I do not accept returns of fragrance oils, flavour oils or soap dyes due to the nature of these products and the fact that they can be tampered with.

    Q: Allergen-Free Fragrance Oils
DO YOU SUPPLY ANY ALLERGEN-FREE FRAGRANCE OILS?

A: Yes; these are referred to as “allergens not declarable” fragrances because these oils are formulated so that the listed allergens are either excluded or fall below declarable thresholds at given inclusion levels. These have their own category so you should be able to find them easily.

    Q: Phthalates
    WHAT ARE PHTHALATES?

A: Phthalates is a term that refers to a wide variety of compounds of differing chemical structure. Not all phthalates are the same; the chemical profiles differ significantly. One of the phthalates, Diethyl Pthalate or DEP, is commonly used in toothbrushes, food packaging and cosmetics. It is also used in fragrances to help blend fragrance ingredients and as a fixative to make fragrances last longer.
Safety concerns have been raised most recently in Europe about the phthalates DBP and DEHP - however, neither of these are permitted for use in cosmetic products in Europe. While some reports continue to raise questions about "phthalates" in general, it is important to define the specific chemicals of concern, as well as the scientific legitimacy of the associated data.
In a review completed in March 2007 by the European Commission's Scientific Committee on Consumer Products (SCCP), the SCCP reconfirmed that DEP IS SAFE FOR USE IN COSMETICS AND REPRESENTS NO QUANTIFIABLE RISK FOR THE CONSUMER. The SCCP also found that none of the latest information on DEP would change its longstanding conclusion. Fragrance material standard-setting involves a step-wise process of strict evaluations, and the conclusions for safe use form the basis for global industry standards which are set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA). IFRA sets strict safety standards for the use of fragrance ingredients and member companies must adhere to the IFRA Code of Practice and agree to produce fragrances to meet these high levels of safety.

Extracted from a report by the Fragrance Materials Association of the US (and summarised to exclude non-relevant information)

You will find I have added comments to the individual listings of the US oils where pthalates are not present as I have had a few requests for this to be noted. Most of the UK oils do contain DEP (DEP-PALATINOL A) as a base ingredient; however there are some which do not. These are:

    APRICOT
    BLCK ORCHD (W)
    CUSTARD CREAM
    GRAPE SODA
    HEATHER
    JM LIME BASIL MANDARIN
    JM POMEGRANATE NOIR
    LABDANUM
    LAVENDER
    LEMON & LAVENDER
    LIQUORICE
    MARZIPAN
    MYRRH
    OPM (W)
    PINE TREE
    PINEAPPLE
    STARFRUIT
    WILD BERRIES
    WOODSMOKE

    Q: Full Fragrance List
DO YOU HAVE A FULL LIST OF ALL YOUR FRAGRANCES?

A: *** Currently unavailable, hope to update fully over Christmas ***
Yes, you will find this in the Fragrance Descriptions category. I try to update this as regularly as possible, but with over 1,000 fragrance oils in stock it is not always easy to keep them all up to date. You will however find the full fragrance description on each individual listing if you look for them.
